The Cancer Registry Program (CRP) is involved in coordinating the operations of Clinical Quality Registries (CQRs) that include the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry-ANZ, the ANZ Thyroid Cancer Registry, the National Gynaecological Cancers Outcomes Registry, the Victorian Lung Cancer Registry, the Bowel Cancer Outcomes Registry and the Upper Gastro-Intestinal Cancer registries. The Senior Project Officer will be required to deliver project and administrative support, and deliver professional project coordination services across the Cancer Registries Program (CRP).
The Role
The Senior Project Officer will provide project and administrative support, and deliver professional project coordination services across the Cancer Registries Program (CRP).
The successful candidate will:
- Provide Senior Project management support for activities undertaken to deliver on the objectives of the CRP.
- Work closely with the CRP senior management team and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely monitoring of project deliverables.
- Work with the CRP Data Analytics team and academics to support data requests and analytics including research as required
- Take a senior support role in the development and submission of funding submissions including competitive grant schemes
- Provide support establishing and maintaining key project related documentation (reports, ethics documentation, project plan etc.)
- Prepare internal and external reports on project progress and performance
- Support the effective operation of committees and working groups established as part of the projects
- Maintain service standards including prompt issues resolution and adherence to privacy, confidentiality and
Education/Qualifications
The appointee will have:
Essential
1.
- A post-graduate degree in the healthcare sector from a recognised university with subsequent relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Sound organisational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage time and meet deadlines
- Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft documentation and interact positively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to work as an effective member of a team as well as independently under general supervision
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical databases, in particular clinical registries.
- Demonstrated experience to perform data analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to support funding submissions.
