We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Officer to lead, manage and deliver our Teach Queensland website project over the coming months. In 2023 we undertook extensive UX and IA testing. This year, we will be drawing upon these insights and recommendations to review, refresh and revamp our website.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead the development and (re)launch of the Teach Queensland website.
- Use your project management experience to manage the website project lifecycle, including planning, reporting and ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with the department's Web and Digital Production team to implement the recommendations from the UX and IA testing, and ensure alignment with the Teach Queensland Brand Strategy.
- Work with cross functional content owners to create high-quality SEO-optimised content for our website.
- Research, write, edit and proof-read new and existing content to ensure accuracy, clarity and tone of voice.
- Access and analyse website data to inform strategies to optimise website performance, conversion rates and user engagement.
- Communicate progress and insights concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ensure website and content reflects best practice and meets accessibility standards.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical subject matter experts.
- Is experienced working with content management systems, such as Sharepoint and has a proactive and practical CMS approach to publishing, optimising and updating online content.
- Drives accountability and outcomes when managing website projects through to deployment and ensuring adherence to best digital practices including web design and writing for web.
- Can draft and curate engaging and user-focused content that aligns with the website's purpose and target audiences.
- Possess a user experience mindset and a passion for using data to optimise outcomes.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can juggle multiple priorities with grace.
- Has experience working with external providers to ensure deliverables are on time and on budget.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of SEO best practices for driving organic traffic.
- Has a positive attitude and a passion for creating exception websites.
