The role
The Senior Project Officer FFE is a crucial role within the Health Capital Division, responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end delivery of FF&E for QLD Health infrastructure projects. This role ensures every aspect of FF&E, from initial planning to final placement, aligns seamlessly with the division's overarching objectives. Leveraging exceptional engagement skills, the Senior Project Officer collaborates with various stakeholders, including specialist consultants, Operational Commissioning Leads, Project Directors, and clinical and non-clinical partners, to plan, develop, source, procure, and manage specialised FF&E tailored to the unique needs of substantial health infrastructure projects. The role involves adhering to quality standards and safety procedures, engaging in the design development process to ensure suitability for healthcare settings and sourcing equipment and furniture for the Division. You will also be responsible for managing the FF&E program throughout the lifecycle of the project by supporting project deliverables with meticulous data management, budget tracking, and financial reporting. Additionally, the Senior Project Officer will support the HHSs to ensure in-servicing, commissioning, and training in the use of purchased equipment while identifying and mitigating risks to minimize project impacts.
The successful person
The successful candidate will have a experience overseeing large-scale capital and equipment procurement activities, familiarity with the Australian Health Facility Guidelines (AUSHFG), and expertise in FF&E application within healthcare settings, including supplier negotiation and engagement with multiple stakeholders. The role reports to the Manager FF&E and while not mandatory, relevant qualifications are advantageous for this role as well as potential travel to different locations based on project and team needs. The successful candidate will possess the capability to plan, prioritise, and execute health infrastructure project requirements related to procurement and have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Finally, you will have the proven ability in consultation, negotiation, and collaboration with various parties, both internal and external, along with exemplary analytical, conceptual, and innovative problem-solving abilities.
