Senior Project Officer

• This recruitment is to establish a talent pool to fill upcoming ongoing and temporary roles in Parramatta.
• The Talent Pool is valid for 18 months.
• Salary-$120,859 -$133,183 plus super and annual leave loading
Your role
The Senior Project Officer role provides a variety of project management type roles relating to the Office of the Deputy Secretary.
What you'll do
There are several roles that a Senior Project Officer can hold in the business unit. Project management is one of them as well as information and allocation management. You will use your problem-solving and critical thinking skills to develop project plans or use your skills as a project manager to support high quality information being provided to the stakeholders of the unit. You will also establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.
We are looking for
• Proven experience in managing projects and workload to meet requirements and deadlines
• Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to formulate reports for various audiences
• Demonstrated ability to assess and analyse complex issues and present options with comprehensive recommendations
• High-level administration and organisational skills
• An ability to develop partnerships and collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
• High level of problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise in high volume environments
• Knowledge of IT applications such as MiniApp, TRIM and ChildStory is highly desirable
What you need
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
• An understanding of service delivery in the child protection, housing and/or youth justice area, or related experience
