Temporary full-time role commencing ASAP up to 30/06/2025.
This role delivers high quality, evidence-based Psychology services in child development, inpatients including rehabilitation and subacute medical wards, outpatient clinics and via telehealth as part of a rural generalist interprofessional team.
You will deliver direct clinical services providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to the Psychology department.
As a senior member of the Allied Health team, you will contribute to the advancement of quality Psychology services and optimal patient care through service development, quality improvement and evaluation, and clinical education, and work closely with our First Nations population.
Financial benefits:
- base salary ranges between $124,435 and $133,901 p.a. (HP4).
- 4 weeks p.a. recreational leave with 17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer super contribution
- rural incentive >$230 p.f.
- professional development allowance of >$115 p.f. and extra leave (3 days p.a.) to attend training or conferences.
Salary sacrificing options are also available.
Eligible health workers who make the move to work with us may receive up to $50,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme.

Role requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- Favourably considered:
- Possession of an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Post-Graduate qualification in Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology.
- Endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in a relevant area of practice (Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology).
- Psychology Board of Australia - Board Approved Supervisor status.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant.
- VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A 6-month period of probation may apply.
