Position Profile and Role
We are seeking Senior Psychologist – Research to join the multi-disciplinary Eating Disorders Service Teams at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service based at Perth Children’s Hospital.
Applying advanced skills in Research Psychology you will initiate, develop, conduct, evaluate, disseminate clinical research within the Eating Disorders Program, (CAMHS EDS). Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the research and evaluation conducted within the EDS in conjunction with CAHS.
- Chairing the Research Committee, manage data collections for the specialist program.
- In collaboration with the program coordinators, managing of data collection within the various clinical services.
- Conducting conventional, complex and novel statistical procedures.
- Providing leadership in the development of research and analysis systems.
This is a Fixed Term Part Time or Permanent Part Time opportunity at 30.40 hours per fortnight (0.4 FTE), with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia offer support, advice and treatment to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years who are experiencing mental health challenges.

Eating Disorder Service
As the Statewide service for paediatric eating disorders, the EDS conducts clinical and applied research to contribute to the literature in the field. This role, under the guidance of a senior clinical psychologist, leads the development and the delivery of the research program in the field of eating disorders at CAHS.
The Western Australian Eating Disorders Service (EDS) is implementing a reform agenda and looking for passionate staff to contribute. Join a dynamic, multidisciplinary, State-wide team that helps children and young people from across Western Australia recover from acute eating disorders. Working in the EDS provides opportunities to work in outpatient, day program, inpatient and group settings and to develop expertise in the field of eating disorders through training, supervision and a supportive team environment.
