AddressTroocoo are proudly partnering with this leading QLD Government agency to recruit a Senior Purchasing Officer (AO5). This role is commencing ASAP for an initial 6 months, with possibility of extension.
Location: Cannon Hill (close to public transport/some street parking available)
Contractor hourly rate: AO5 - $62.67 p/hour + super
About the role:
•Manage and/or assistance in the management of various statewide Standing Offer Arrangements and other key contracts.
• Establish robust relationships with suppliers and contractors focusing on competitive pricing, contract compliance, Key Performance Indicators etc.
• Communicate and work with various stakeholders providing assistance, guidance, and information on sourcing solutions for various projects, future works, goods/services supply, contract terms and conditions, supplier performance etc.
• Undertake and assist with strategic, complex and/or sensitive procurement activities to deliver procurement and contract management outcomes that support agency objectives.
• Prepare and calling of tenders for a variety of categories involving construction, maintenance, consulting and upgrade activities, including evaluation and regulatory techniques.
Undertake operational purchasing activities including ordering goods/services and processing a range of purchase orders and field release orders.
Your experience:
- Previous experience within Procurement or Senior Purchasing – end to end procurement/contracts management experience
- Experience managing multiple SOAs and contract compliance
- High attention to detail and ability to engage with key stakeholders
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
