About the role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join our team in a full-time role. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our team, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess in-depth knowledge and comprehension of the Aged Care Quality Standards, Aged Care Legislation, and related principles.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the application of the Aged Care Standards to Home-based care delivery, including awareness of associated risks.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to providing person-centred support to clients.
- Capable of conducting thorough audits of client files to identify areas of risk and improvement, ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Possess a working knowledge of the Aged Care sector, including Home Care Packages (HCP) and Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP).
- Ability to develop educational resources and deliver training sessions effectively.
- Identify clinical risks and action in line with nursing responsibilities and handle all escalated issues as necessary with proper documentation.
- Work cooperatively and provide leadership to personal/ healthcare care workers, enrolled nurses and liaise effectively with other members of the care team.
- Perform additional responsibilities as outlined in the position description and as required of a Registered Nurse, encompassing various clinical duties.
Desirable:
- Comprehensive understanding of the statutory regulations pertinent to Residential Aged Care Services, Community Aged Care Services and Disability Services.
- Knowledge of relevant service/funding streams
- Knowledge and skills in project management and evaluation
- Familiarity with the NDIS Quality Standards is desirable.
Essential Criteria:

- Current AHPRA Registration
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module ' Quality, Safety & You'
- Current First Aid Certificate &* CPR certificate
- Current Federal Police Criminal Record Check
- Evidence of Immunisation history including C19 digital certificate and current flu vaccine
- Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a healthcare setting
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
