Join our team as a Senior Regulatory Officer within Water Supply Regulation in Queensland!
About the Role:
Operating within Water Supply Regulation, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and performance of drinking and recycled water service providers across Queensland. Your responsibilities will involve regulatory oversight, compliance activities and collaboration with various stakeholders to uphold water safety standards under the Water Supply (Safety and Reliability) Act 2008.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assess regulatory compliance of drinking and recycled water service providers.
- Conduct site inspections and collect evidence to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Respond to reported water quality incidents and collaborate with relevant agencies for resolution.
- Provide accurate advice on water legislation and regulations to stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and review of regulatory documents.
- Supervise and mentor Regulatory Officers to ensure effective task completion.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, engineering, public health) would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance or water quality management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
