You will join a team with a breadth of knowledge to share, offering a role in which you will support a wide range of complex and highly valued work. As an exceptional and curious critical thinker with great with great analytical skills, you will provide regulatory advice, assist the business in achieving its objectives, and present to on the various regulatory options available.. Key Responsibilities include:
- Support through the provision of economic/regulatory research, analysis and advice to support the development and execution of the Aurizon Network strategy.
- Improve policy outcomes for Aurizon Network and its customers by analysing and challenging information from business areas and developing effective regulatory solutions.
- Develop and reinforce relationships with internal and external stakeholders by proactively gathering feedback and responding to requirements.
- Monitor and report against various regulatory/economic sources.
- Provision of analytical support and, where appropriate, financial modelling to the Regulation team.
- Provide professional support and education to the broader Network business on relevant matters.
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or law required (mandatory).
- 5+ years' experience working in a regulated industry (preferred).
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills required to provide professional support.
- Financial modelling skills.
- Experience in the preparation of submissions to regulator.
- Stakeholder management with a focus on credible stakeholder engagement in complex regulatory environments.
