The material (or “source”) development will require the Incumbent to utilise both radiochemistry and Materials Science to optimise formulations, so that output is maximised and stability over time is enhanced.
We are ideally seeking candidates with a background in Materials Science, preferably ceramic materials.
Key tasks of this role include:
- Test and analyse materials for radiopharmaceutical technologies, with a focus on nanostructured surfaces
- Conduct materials chemistry-related experiments, including new design verification and validation
- Develop and refine operating procedures to streamline product development
- Collaborate closely with internal partners and R&D team to ensure smooth handover of newly developed products to manufacturing. Maintain and organise sample library
- Prepare samples based on developed protocols
This role requires candidates to be highly engaged with organisational safety and compliance management systems, including radiation safety requirements, to ensure that compliance with all applicable regulations is maintained.Other key requirements of this role include:
- Tertiary qualification (PhD) in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry or related discipline
- Proficiency in solid-state chemistry, materials design principles, and structure-property relations in inorganic materials
- Practical experience in developing, testing, and characterizing materials, with a focus on nanostructured surfaces and thin films.
- Creativity, resourcefulness, and proficiency in executing experimental tasks and resolving challenges
- Hands-on practical skills in planning, running experiments, and data analysis.
- Documentation skills for experiment outcomes, test reports, and technical presentations to internal teams.
- Ability to multitask, manage projects, prioritise workload, and work in a fast-paced environment
