(HE09) $123,881 to $132,534 or (HE08) $106,561 to $119,550 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.
Fixed term, full time position available until December 2026 with a possibility to extend. Part time option will also be considered.
As an integral part of the Research Development team, who is embedded within the scientific community of the SAiGENCI, the incumbent will provide support for funding initiatives in order to deliver an increase in the scale and diversity of external research funding and awards for SAiGENCI and the University. They will liaise with sponsors, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and academic staff to ensure that the applications align with the goals of the University. The position will be expected to work closely with the SAiGENCI Scientific Program Leaders and Research Services Staff to play a major role in coordinating, project managing and enhancing the quality of funding applications.
The role will also be expected to lead or take a major role in coordinating, project managing and enhancing the quality of major funding applications. They will be responsible for ensuring researchers target key programs at scale, prepare quality applications and achieve high success rates.
To be successful you will need:
- An understanding of major national and international research funding opportunities, mechanisms and research management in the University environment and an understanding of the distinctive research profile of SAiGENCI and the University of Adelaide.
- Experience in developing and providing a range of grant development and research support services and an understanding of the processes involved in co-ordinating and developing major funding initiatives in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in the writing, editing and development of research proposals, business plans and promotional materials.
- Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, plan actions and work well to tight (externally imposed) deadlines.
- A high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity and sound judgement.
