Senior Research Manager - Cardiothoracic Surgery

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Department is the largest in Victoria and second largest in Australia.
The Department provides consultative and operative services on an elective and emergency basis for patients requiring advanced cardiac, and thoracic surgical care.
The Cardiothoracic Surgery Department enjoys a collaborative working environment with all stakeholders having access to internal resources to enhance and provide expertise across many disciplinary services.
Your New Role:
This is a full-time position, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, City Campus.
- Be responsible for developing, leading and coordinating a research team
- Ensure accurate reporting on the ANZSCTS Database
- Support the strategy of unit-based research
- Enable high level quality assurance
- Optimise the evidence-based transition of patient care
You will have fantastic communication skills and have extensive research experience, as well as:
- Substantial experience in clinical research, and a track record of appropriate publications and presentations at professional meetings.
- Acute hospital experience with a collaborative working style.
- Looking to expand your nursing skills and work with world leaders in Cardiothoracic Surgery and research and a passion for continued professional development.
- Post Graduate qualifciations in related field/discipline
