Job description

Established in 2002, Nicheliving is Perths largest medium density developer currently managing a portfolio over $500M.  Nicheliving has overseen more than 65 residential developments in Western Australia, in addition to several commercial and mixed-use projects.

We are looking for a Senior Residential Schedular with experience in residential construction to join our team. 

Join a forward-thinking team to deliver a variety of residential projects from affordable to high end homes. 

This key role is broad, fast-paced and will integrate with the company’s wider interests within the property sector including modern construction methods, digital innovation in smart cities and sustainability.
 

Nicheliving is  dynamic and multi-faceted property group offering comprehensive services across new home and land, apartment developments, project marketing, construction, financial services, real estate sales and property management. 

We're looking for a Senior Scheduler with experience in Residential construction to join our dynamic team in a full time capacity. The role is to Schedule & mange new builds within our own Nicheliving estates. 

This position is suited for an experienced Scheduler, who is able to work autonomously and is looking to step into a Team Leadership position. 

Job tasks and responsibilities

  • Evaluate and estimate construction project costs based on project plans and specifications
  • Analyze and interpret construction drawings, technical documents & Consultant Reports
  • Producing accurate Bill of Quantities & raising Purchase Orders
  • Documentation control. (Plans, specification, Addendum and variations  have been checked, addressed and processed).
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings during the estimating process
  • Processing of Invoices (Subcontractor and Supplier).
  • Addressing problem invoices (i.e. incorrect rates, values, amounts and extras).
  • Preparing budgets and cost comparisons for review and approval.
  • Research and source material prices from suppliers and subcontractors
  • Liaise with and assist site supervisors in performing their duties and forward planning.
  • Monitor project costs and provide ongoing analysis of actual costs versus estimated costs
  • Training & Mentoring of Junior Team members

Skills and experience

  • Demonstrate previous Estimating experience with apartments and residential housing. This oppertunity is open to someone with Scheduling experience who wants to move into Estimating. 
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Scheduling or Estimting for a Residential Builder. 
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High level of communication skills both oral and written.
  • Passionate about building and construction.
  • A positive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office and a keen understanding of construction software. (Planswift, Buildlogic, Clickhome. Not essential)
