An emerging exploration and drilling company funded by NQM Gold 2 Pty Ltd, an Australian gold explorer, developer, and producer since 2009. Auspin has a proven technical team currently based in Pajingo Gold Mine continuously adding new ounces for the mine, apart from the technical capability, Auspin’s drilling division is led by a highly experienced team, currently it has 3 exploration rigs at Pajingo Mine.
Located southwest of Townsville, the Pajingo mine is around 50km from Charters Towers and employs approximately 250 people to run the underground mining, open cut, and ore processing operations. Charters Towers is close to Townsville and the beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, and it offers all the facilities you would expect in a large regional town.
The role is residential/DIDO or FIFO from the East Coast based in Charters Towers working an 8/6 or 12/9 roster.
About you:
- Tertiary Qualification in Geology
- Significant experience in underground hard rock Geology
- Demonstrated experience with narrow gold system.
- Ability to be Competent Person for narrow gold system.
- Ability to deliver Mineral Resource estimates and associated reporting documentation.
- Competence in one or more software packages such as Vulcan, Micromine, Datamine, Surpac, or Leapfrog
- Professional registration with a recognised international body e.g. AUSIMM, AIG
- Australian working rights
- Australian Manual Driver License
About the role:
- Reporting to Exploration Manager at Pajingo Gold Mine.
- Collecting, recording and cataloguing of geological samples; QA-QC analysis and interpretation of results and compilation of formal technical geological reports.
- Evaluation of laboratories used for sample analysis and relevant analysis of QA-QC measures.
- Undertaking Mineral Resource estimates using Vulcan software for projects at various stages of development in accordance with JORC (2012) guidelines.
- Preparing Mineral Resource estimate reports in line with JORC (2012).
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in the operation.
