About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Security Operations Engineer to join our Enterprise Platforms team in a full-time permanent role.
As a Senior Security Operations Engineer, you will work within and be involved in maintaining a company’s enterprise network. You are responsible for maintaining and monitoring the company’s network security infrastructure, resolving advanced support issues and assisting in project implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install, configure, and maintain security infrastructure and equipment (Firewalls, DLP, email filters, proxies, F5 etc).
- Monitor performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
- Document network and security policies, procedures, design and configurations.
- Keep up to date on current threat landscape.
- Analyse and assess requirements and scope for continual operational improvement in security space.
- Ability to innovate and understand new technologies.
- Perform on call duties on a rostered basis.
- Upgrade and maintain infrastructure and systems during appropriate outage windows, which may be outside of business hours.
About you
You have extensive knowledge and experience working with enterprise networks and a high-level analytical and troubleshooting skills and expert level abilities in maintaining the stability and performance of security infrastructure across the organisation.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and DNS technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Cisco Security Suite (ISE, Stealthwatch, Threatgrid, DUO etc)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Checkpoint, Forcepoint and F5 technologies.
- Demonstrated knowledge in security principles and technical understanding of IT security related technologies (e.g. Antivirus, firewalls, endpoint/server protection, data encryption, PKI, HSM, DLP/IDS, etc.);
- Knowledge of frameworks relevant to role.
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to write procedural, process and reporting documentation.
- Show initiative and the ability work with minimal supervision.
