This role requires you to get into the trenches!About the RoleAs a Service Desk Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing ICT support to various departments including Offices, Count Centres, Call Centres, and Head Office staff. Your responsibilities will include providing technical support for hardware and software solutions, deploying ICT solutions, and maintaining key relationships with users and stakeholdersThe role is based on site at the Sydney CBD office, and may require travel to our other metro locations. This role is not WFH suitable, and requires you to work fully on site.Key accountabilities include:
- Provide ICT support to end users and procure ICT hardware and software based on business requirements.
- Deploy and decommission ICT solutions, including end-user training and liaising with vendors.
- Provide coaching and training to team members and end users, document procedures, and suggest process improvements.
- Build and maintain key relationships with users, technical staff, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Provide accurate advice about technical issues and solutions to assist with specifying and documenting business requirements.
- Manage hardware and software escalations with vendors and internal stakeholders until resolution.
- Manage the Service Desk systems, including configuration changes, upgrades, and testing.
- Previous NSW Government experience highly regarded
- Experience providing end-user IT technical support with customer service responsibilities.
- Experience in procuring ICT hardware and software as the SME or technical expert.
- Experience working in an ITIL work environment.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good time management skills
- Experience within the IT industry
- Good understanding of Windows 10, MS Office, and other common applications
- Experience installing and configuring computer and network equipment
