This role requires you to get into the trenches!About the RoleAs a Service Desk Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing end-user device support, managing hardware and software escalations, and ensuring the smooth operation of network and telephony environments. Your contributions will be critical in maintaining our Service Desk operations and supporting our staff across various locations.The role is based on site at the Sydney CBD office, and may require travel to our other metro locations. This role is not WFH suitable, and requires you to work fully on site.Key accountabilities include:
- Provide support for end-user device hardware, printers, desktops, laptops, and more.
- Utilize a ticketing system to log and respond to Service Desk queries promptly.
- Provide first and second-level Windows software support and troubleshooting.
- Manage hardware and software escalations with vendors.
- Offer first-level support for network and telephony environments.
- Assist with end-user device and venue ICT setup, configuration, and support during Elections.
- Deploy and test software solutions, creating and updating user and technical guides.
- Maintain asset databases to ensure accurate records.
- Previous NSW Government experience highly regarded
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good time management skills
- Experience within the IT industry
- Good understanding of Windows 10, MS Office, and common applications
- Experience installing and configuring computer and network equipment
- 5th largest supplier to the NSW Government
