ABOUT THE PROJECT
This thrilling prospect presents you with the chance to be part of a prestigious project involving a $70 million residential construction endeavor in Gosford. The development comprises 180 elegantly designed apartments that offer a range of luxurious living options, including one, two, three, and four-bedroom layouts. The project also features 2.5 levels of basement parking and a combination of private and communal spaces, including a resort-style swimming pool.
The team is currently progressing well and diligently working towards achieving the project's completion by the end of 2024.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Site Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager, plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication and coordination among construction, design, and administrative elements. They support the project team by managing quality and providing technical construction assistance to all project stakeholders.
Here's an overview of the typical daily responsibilities:
- Collaborate in developing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Assist in establishing, maintaining, and monitoring project quality standards and procedures.
- Identify project issues and proactively drive the development and implementation of appropriate solutions.
- Review subcontractor quality documentation and checklists to ensure adherence to standards.
- Assess the quality of subcontractor works on-site and effectively communicate findings to the project team.
- Contribute to maintaining timely and accurate design completion to align with project schedules.
- Manage and oversee the flow of technical information between design disciplines and both internal and external stakeholders.
- Review consultant and subcontractor deliverables to ensure compliance with the design brief.
- Refer to the tender package content to ensure adherence to the scope of work, product usage, and design requirements, as applicable.
ABOUT YOU
Requirements for this position include:
- Possession of a degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- A minimum of 5+ years of post-graduate experience in an engineering role within the building industry, preferably in a tier 1-3 environment.
- Proficiency in utilizing Procore, MS Suite, and Aconex software.
- Prior experience working on residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects of a similar scale.
- Exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to proactively identify defects or issues and take appropriate measures to address or prevent them.
- A strong desire to continuously learn and develop one's skillset.
