AddressPARC Engineering are specialists in Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, and Instrumentation projects. We provide technical services to the Australian energy and resources sector with specific experience in the Minerals and Mining, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, and Power Generation Industries.
Due to our current success and growth, we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior SMP Estimator to join our Head office in Perth.
You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering tender packages as well as providing support to the tendering and project execution teams. Your duties will include:
- The desired candidate is to be accustomed to the Contractor estimating space, demonstrating drive, initiative, and autonomy in preparing multidisciplinary proposals to meet Tender deadlines.
- Must have experience in preparing first principal estimates, in addition to norms-based estimating, in bid preparations of both Lump Sum and other commercial models.
- Perform detailed reviews of specifications, standards, drawings, and Project documentation as required to develop and prepare Tender Proposals and detailed estimates.
• Undertaking SMP accurate material take-off
• Preparing RFQ’s and obtaining material supply and subcontract pricing to support detailed estimates.
• Preparing and coordinating the subcontract components required for the tender submission
• Preparing and issuing detailed subcontracts.
• Preparing, issuing, and responding to RFI’s and clarifications, to both Clients and Subcontractors.
• Presenting Tender proposals to both Internal stakeholders and Clients
• Attending Tender briefings on remote sites as required,
• Review of tender documentation and preparation of technical expectations
• Briefing the Operational Team on the specifics of successful tenders and carrying out internal tender “handover’ meetings of successful tenders of the project team
• Support the companies’ tender strategy, internal approvals, tender system, and contracts negotiation
• Implementing and working to the quality management system procedures
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5+ years’ experience with Structural, Mechanical and Piping works in the mining sector as an Estimator or similar.
- Advantageous to have experience from tendering through to project execution.
- Autonomous worker who can adapt and work flexibly with business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal employees.
- Must have Australian working rights
