THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic to join our successful team. The Senior Estimator and Scheduler will be responsible for determining accurate costs involved in the construction of Weststyle projects and maintaining the projects ordering schedule. This role liaisons between Architects / Customers, Suppliers and all Staff, whilst working closely with Senior Estimator / Project Manager.
Duties
- Managing purchase orders as required. Take offs as required, raising, amending, deleting purchase orders
- Co-ordination of project variations
- Distribution of construction documents to sub-contractors and suppliers as required
- Liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers, organising and maintaining supplier & sub-contractor agreements, negotiating the best price / value, confirm lead times and availability, call ups as requested by site supervisors
- Co-ordination of demolition works
- Reconciling Beams supplier purchase orders, cost categories, during and final review at the completion of project.
- Liaise and provide support to site supervisors with any on-site construction detailing issues that may arise
- Prepare accurate feasibilities of construction projects
- Prepare accurate estimations of construction projects
- Provide support and assistance to Senior Estimator with tender project pricing
- Provide support and assistance to design team with construction details as required
Technical Skills
- Minimum 3 years High End Residential estimating & scheduling experience
- Ability to provide quantity take-offs, sound scheduling skill set to assist the Estimator & staff members in problem solving and daily tasks.
- Sound knowledge of conventional and modern construction processes
- Microsoft Office Suite of Products: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Beams – Advanced Knowledge of estimating modules
Personal Skills
- Ability to communicate to fellow staff with the appropriate level of detail.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner, verbally and electronically, with designers, engineers, contractors and construction supervisors
- Self-manage time including, determining priorities, being efficient and completing tasks to given timeframes.
- Strong Administrative skills including: accuracy, consistency and reliability.
