Agnes Restaurant is looking for a professional and energetic Senior Sous Chef to join our team of talented chefs. We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef who is passionate about high-level service and enthusiastic about growing and cultivating a team.

Responsibilities
- Lead by example and motivate the kitchen team to maintain a consistent high high-performing work culture.
- Creating and executing a training and development plan for kitchen staff – keeping them inspired and motivated to gain knowledge and learn.
- Assisting the Head Chef with hiring kitchen talent.
- Consistent and strong execution and quality control of every dish that leaves the pass.
- Keeping the team aware and accountable for food hygiene and food safety standards.
- Reviewing daily stock orders and ensuring that there is no incorrect or missing product.
- A good understanding of the Restaurant Industry award, including minimum hourly rates, levels and penalties.
- Assisting the Head Chef with breaks and timesheet management.
- Assist the Head Chef to support all employee relations matters such as grievance, disciplinary and appraisal procedures.
The Prerequisites
- 2-3 years previous experience in a similar senior Kitchen Management position
- Strong understanding of food and beverage operations
- Understanding administrative software tools
- Experienced in rostering, labour, and food and beverage cost management.
- Exceptional leadership skills
- Experience in a busy and professional environment
- Excellent communication and attitude
- Organised with a love for well-executed food
- Course completion of use of hygienic practices for food safety and participation in safe food handling practices
