The Venue
In 2019, Dan, Justin and a bunch of chefs went on an epic, multi-stop trip to Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan & Vietnam. MuMu’s menu is inspired by everything they ate along the way.
Grab some dishes – Dan’s favourites include a selection of sambal with krupuk, wok-fried king prawns with fish sauce and brown butter – and a bunch of drinks, and settle in for a night of flavour, fun and loud music. With a menu designed for sharing, and the famous yuzu slushee doing the rounds, this inner-city hang-out (set within the ivy precinct) is the perfect place to drink, dance, and burn the midnight oil.
The Role
We are looking for a Senior Sous Chef to join the team at MuMu, if you have similar experience and a passion for South-East Asian cuisine this could be the next role for you.
- 2-3 years experience as a Senior Sous or Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant or similar style venue.
- Strong Asian cooking experience in all sections including wok.
- Can support the head chefs and help manage a large team of 25+ chefs
- Good understanding of Asian flavours and cooking techniques.
- Ability to lead and drive the team, good communication and execution.
- A good understanding of financials, WH&S and management processes.
- Can build strong relationships with the front of house team and senior team members.
