We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef for an exciting opportunity located a few minutes from the CBD, nestled on the rooftop terrace of Cockle Bay Wharf.
Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be instrumental in operating all food production activities with particular focus on food quality, food consistency, food cost, menu design, implementation, as well as health, hygiene and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the kitchen in a busy high paced environment in the absence of the Head Chef
- Ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction through the highest quality of food presentation
- Management of staff, equipment and stock
- Manage effective supplier relationships and supply forecasts
- Ensure food safety and HACCP requirements are strictly adhered to
- Maintain excellence in food and service standards and to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Food ordering, and stock and inventory control
- Ensuring that food standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques meet Brand Standard guidelines and are maintained at that level
- Training and mentoring the team
Desired Skills and Experience:
We will require a minimum 2-3 years' experience in a Senior Sous Chef role, within a busy performing venue, have excellent food knowledge background and exceptional customer service skills.
Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

- First Aid (preferred)
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia essential to be considered for this role
- Australian Food Safety Certificate
