About the role
The primary objective of this position is to support the warehouse leadership team in the day-to-day operations. This involves ensuring accurate inventory management through the ERP system, maintaining high standards of housekeeping, packing, storing, and dispatching goods safely, and ensuring the overall safety of warehouse operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Management: Verify stock received against supplier documentation and company purchase orders to ensure accuracy. All goods should be booked in and put away accurately with no outstanding purchase order lines.
- Data Entry: Ensure accurate stock allocation and contribute to precise stocktakes through diligent data entry.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and dispatch goods accurately and on time according to customer demands. Performance will be measured by DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) reports and customer feedback.
- Packaging and Wrapping: Ensure goods are packaged and wrapped appropriately to prevent damage during storage and transportation. This will be assessed through customer feedback and the absence of damaged products.
- Loading/Unloading: Ensure correct products are dispatched or received and that trucks are loaded completely and manifested correctly.
About you
- Current driver's license, forklift license (LF/LO) – (essential).
- Previous warehouse operations, inventory and RF scanning experience.
- Good knowledge of packaging and wrapping techniques to ensure goods' safety during storage and transportation.
- Good computer and data entry knowledge.
- Excellent numeracy skills for accurate inventory management.
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Fully capable to perform repetitive activities such as bending, lifting, walking, sitting and turning, safely.
- Good time management, presentation and interpersonal skills.
