ABOUT THE COMPANY.
This reputable Local Council in the Inner-Western suburbs of Sydney has recently opened an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Planner to join their team for an immediate start. The successful candidate will work within a high performing and collaborative team to communicate and promote relevant planning policies.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Senior Strategic Planner, you will report to the Manager of City Planning. Your primary focus will be to write planning proposals for major precincts such as the Parramatta Road Corridor and liaise with key stakeholders. You will start on an initial 3 month contract with the possibility of contract extension or transition to a permanent position based on performance.
DUTIES.

• Assessing and writing planning proposals
• Project manage major rezoning and master planning applications
• Liaise with the public to mediate and resolve conflict between major planning proposals
• Reviewing Government Policy to formulate submissions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

• Degree in Urban/Town Planning or related
• Prior Local Government experience is preferred
• Strong foundation of knowledge in relation to planning proposals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
