About the Role

It's an exciting time for Wollondilly with major town centres being planned and built. A rare opportunity has arisen within Council's Sustainable Growth section for a Senior Strategic Planner to join the team. The successful candidate will work within a high performing and collaborative team to communicate and promote relevant planning policies, facilitate environmental outcomes and support outcomes in line with relevant legislation, Delivery Program and the Local Strategic Planning Statement. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria:

• Degree qualification in Town planning or related discipline.
• Minimum four (4) years relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in written and oral forms, including the preparation of written studies, plans and strategies to a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to efficiently assess, negotiate, problem solve and complete complex planning for proposals and other strategic planning processes.
• Class C drivers licence.
