The Opportunity:
As part of our growth, we are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time role.
This role will work across a range of Engineering and Waste Management projects. The successful applicant will be involved in a range of industrial and waste management infrastructure projects including industrial buildings, retaining walls, concrete slabs, recycling centres, community drop off facilities and waste transfer facilities.
Position duties include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the structural design capability within the Talis team;
- Manage design projects including:
- Waste management infrastructure, including recycling centres, community drop off facilities, waste transfer station;
- Retaining walls, concrete slabs, roofed structures;
- Industrial buildings and similar structures.
- Identify and secure structural design projects;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients;
About you:
- Tertiary qualified in Structural engineering with minimum 10 – 15 years’ experience working on industrial, recycling and waste transfer facilities;
- Eligible for Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia
- A background in structural/civil engineering, with previous experience as in design, procurement, contract management and superintendent and/or site supervision would be beneficial.
- Competency with appropriate structural design software.
- Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong report writing skills and excellent communication skills
- Ability to lead and grow a structural design team, and contribute to the professional development of team members.
- Full Australian working rights.
