The opportunity
With an exciting portfolio of ongoing and upcoming projects, we are looking for Senior Structural Engineers to strengthen our already high performing team.
As a Senior Structural Engineer at Momentum, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills and capabilities, with excellent career development opportunities. You will work on projects critical to current and future energy needs including:
- Brownfield modifications of offshore assets to ensure future reliable operation
- Renewable hydrogen project design engineering
- Compression station engineering to bolster energy grid resilience
- LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) offtake developments to boost energy security

What will you bring:
- 5+ years' experience as a Structural Engineer (Civil experience preferred but not essential);
- Bachelor Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering which is recognised by Engineers Australia;
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency;
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
- A positive and proactive attitude;
- Offshore Oil & Gas Experience;
- Brownfields Engineering Experience;
- A strong work ethic and ability to manage your own time and that of more junior engineers on a project, to work within allocated hours and schedules;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word;
- Proficiency in SPACE GASS
- Familiarity with Australian and other relevant standards
Key duties:
- Provide general structural, marine and offshore engineering support and assurance for offshore facilities;
- Prepare design calculations and analysis;
- Check and mark up drawings;
- Interface with the client as required;
- Participate in some project engineering tasks, including but not limited to – client meetings, preparing Cost/Time/Resource estimates, preparing progress reports for clients, managing budgets and schedules for individual tasks, preparing Scope of Work documents;
- Address fabrication and site queries as required;
- Write technical reports summarising designs or findings of site visits;
- Visit client offshore facilities as required by projects (training will be provided)
