Role Details:
Reporting to the Unit Manager: Contracts, you will drive the development, implementation, and execution of Gold Fields Australia's (GFA) Sustainable Procurement program, including but not limited to increased spending with Aboriginal and host community-based businesses, the eradication of modern slavery within the supply chain, reductions in Scope 3 emissions, and other ESG-related objectives as necessary.

This role is offered on a 9 day fortnight roster at our Perth corporate office on a permanent basis. For this role we will consider full-time, part-time or job share options.

This hands-on role will drive the achievement of Supply Chain-related ESG targets in the region by:
- Identifying, assessing, and managing sustainability risks relating to GFA's supply chain;
- Contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and processes required to support the effective implementation of Sustainable Procurement objectives;
- Engaging and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders (as well as the broader Supply Chain team) to identify opportunities for Aboriginal, host community and diverse businesses participation in the value chain;
- Performing risk-based due diligence on critical categories of spending to identify opportunities for improved performance in the areas of host community procurement, Indigenous procurement, human rights and modern slavery, and Scope 3 abatement acceleration opportunities;
- Developing and building internal capacity to identify, manage, mitigate, and remediate modern slavery risks;
- Developing and implementing strategies to influence suppliers to expedite decarbonisation efforts;
- Educating internal stakeholders regarding Gold Fields' Sustainable Procurement commitments and develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to demonstrate progress against Sustainable Procurement targets; and
- Representing GFA at procurement-focused sustainability events/conferences, industry-led workshops, etc.
About you:
- Extensive experience in procurement activities, in particular, sourcing and contract management, with exposure to Sustainable Procurement and the management of modern slavery risks
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management/Contract Management (desirable)
- Solid understanding of data analysis and the ability to integrate findings into sustainable supply chain management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
