What do I need?
The Senior System Analyst role is responsible for understanding business requirements and identifying how best to meet those needs in technology solutions. This includes working with business and technology areas to gather requirements for development and management. System Analysts perform business analysis tasks primarily within the boundaries of (but not limited to) a project and/or program. These tasks can be performed from a diverse range of perspectives including Waterfall, Agile, Information Technology and/or business process management.
Major accountabilities of the role are:
- Driving the achievement of Westpac's strategy by working with stakeholders as directed to elicit, analyse, communicate, validate and manage requirements for changes to systems, business processes, policies, information & data
- Managing requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs
- Work with the business stakeholders (typically : Business Analysts) to translate the user stories into technical specifications for the IT implementation team.
- Work with the Engineering and QA Testing team to validate the requirements are built accordingly to the technical specifications
- Identify and define detailed system requirements and use cases
- Support the execution of product test and resolve issues
- Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements

What do I need?
The successful candidate will have:
- 5 years+ of technology business analyst skills, data analysis, system functional and non-function analysis experience
- A strong understanding of technology and business systems strategically and operationally
- Financial industry experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Retail banking experience in Digital or Staff Assisted applications (not essential), understanding of product originations and workflow
- Experience in Compliance or Financial Crime projects
