About the opportunities

Southern Cross University is seeking applications from experienced Senior System Analysts to harness the power of technology and contribute to innovative solutions delivering strategic value and operational excellence within the Future Student Technologies team. We are seeking individuals who have working knowledge of the higher education sector and experience developing solutions within enterprise systems, specifically Marketing365, Dynamics 365 and Power Automate

Working closely with stakeholders across the University, the Senior System Analyst provides BAU support as well as leading, scoping and implementing new solutions. As a dynamic and talented Senior System Analyst, apply your experience and extend your expertise in the following core capabilities:

  • Lead initiatives, liaising with technical colleagues and stakeholders to understand requirements, performance expectations and associated University business roadmaps. Using your expert knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, associated products and related interfaces, explore system-based solutions and configuration and meet agreed timelines.
  • Lead analysis of new functionality or investigation of complex problem solutioning, develop technical specifications to support systems-based business process implementations and integrations with other enterprise systems including Studylink and Technology One Student Management.
  • Implement technically complex system configuration and process automation utilising your knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and aligning with the University’s enterprise architecture.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and suppliers, representing the team at internal and external meetings with customers, stakeholders and vendors.
About you

You are an IT professional ready to flex and grow your technical skills and be at the forefront of technology advancements.

You are passionate and committed to innovation and providing solutions to improve service delivery, specifically improving outcomes for Applicants and Students. In addition, you possess:

  • Extensive technical experience and functional knowledge in implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solutions (Marketing, Sales, Customer Service and Customer Voice modules preferred). Working knowledge of associated applications such as Power Apps (Portals), Power Pages and Power Automate is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud-based services (e.g., directory service, web services, DevOps pipelines, etc.) and how they can integrate with Dynamics 365.
  • Proven high level ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve a range of complex system, integration, and business process issues. Ability to propose and communicate effective solutions to stakeholders.
  • Proven high-level skills to lead technically complex initiatives, including expertise to analyse, document and implement system-based business process and complex reporting requirements, preferably within higher education sector.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and the proven ability to prepare briefs and make recommendations to maximise efficiencies and effectiveness of enterprise systems
  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to maintain business and technical documentation.
Salary and benefits

These two available opportunities are:

  • 1x continuing position (permanent) and 1x full-time, fixed term (14 months)
  • Located at either Gold Coast, Lismore or Coffs Harbour. Hybrid work is available or full-time remote may be considered for the right candidate. Generous relocation support available to candidates relocating to commence the role.
  • HEW Level 7. The base salary ranges from $99,711 - $108,268 per annum, plus 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation. The total remuneration package is up to $126,673.
