- Lead and support a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the timely and professional delivery of project outcomes.
- Ensure system analyses supports product development activities and all requirements are identified, captured and analysed and form the basis of development activities through the development of specifications.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of ASDEFCON methodologies, DIDs and CDRLs and support engineering team in their application.
- Enable the use of rigorous system development methods to ensure safe, secure, and reliable systems.
- Implement concept demonstration, prototype and production systems in collaboration with all engineering disciplines.
- Ensure that requirements management, design traceability and configuration
- management are enabled according to relevant standards.
- Coordinate the system engineering reviews to enable the development of all activities.
- Coordinate developmental verification and validation activities and enable capture of analysis and test results allowing sign-off of requirements.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and the engineering lifecycle.
- Experience with digital designs, embedded systems hardware technology, and
- Interpretation and analysis of electronics systems drawings and technical documents.
- Experience in hardware development for electronic related products.
- Experience in defence or safety engineering in rail or other similar industries.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering are highly desirable.
- Registration on, or eligible to gain registration on the NER as a Professional Engineer is desirable.
