Senior Systems Engineer - Data Protection

We now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior System Engineer - Data Protection to work within the Defence environment in Canberra.

A current NV1 is required for this role with the ability to obtain NV2.
Purpose
Perform Data Protection support activities at a senior level as part of a broader team managing multiple Data Protection technologies for Defence. Lead BAU and project activities as required and provide support and mentoring to more junior staff.
Key Accountabilities

• Escalation contact for incident, problem and change activities.
• Implementation and maintenance of Data Protection services across multiple platforms and environments.
• Function as an SME supporting NEC's BAU operations.
• Work with Project Services to achieve smooth BAU transition for new system integrations.
• Provide support and up skilling other team members.
• Contribute to documentation and designs, ensuring best practices are utilised and follow approved designs.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Expert knowledge in CommVault products.
• CommVault certification or equivalent knowledge.
• SnapManager experience is highly desirable.
• VMWare experience is highly desirable.

• ITIL V4 Foundation highly desirable.
• Experience in storage technologies such as NetApp, EMC or HDS would be a bonus.
• Defence experience is highly desirable.
