You will be joining a team to deliver the technical aspects of the project through design reviews, test and evaluation and support to technical certification. A focus on building relationships, managing KBR’s partnerships and maintaining client satisfaction will be key to this role, with a view to maximising business opportunities within the agreed operating structure.Responsibilities:Undertake and oversee the development of Technical Investigations and Technical Instructions relating to platform systems, including the verification and validation of technical dataOperate as a lead in a multidisciplinary team to develop design requirements in the context of engineering change management and configuration management relating to Mechanical and Electrical platform systemsAct as a Design Acceptance Representative, participate in Engineering design Reviews and the development of Engineering Support ReportsWork both within and to the requirements of the Authorised Engineering OrganisationWork to the requirements of Contractor Engineering Management PlanManage preparation and/or review of work instructions and maintenance schedulesConducting work to a high standard, including work on engineering reports and design contract documentsWorking within Certification Standards and established industry practicesDevelop and maintain relationships with key customer and supplier contactsProvide guidance, mentorship and assistance to team members including graduate levels as and when requiredQualifications, Skills and ExperienceExperienced in Systems Engineering practice using EIA-632/IEEE 15288 or equivalentDemonstrated ability to develop and execute Systems Engineering Management PlanHands-on experience in configuration management practiceWorking knowledge of ASDEFCON Contracting framework (above and/or below the line)Experience in risk managementExperience in Verification and Validation (V&V) planning and test execution.Other Requirements8+ years Specialty Engineering practice as Electrical or Mechanical Platform engineer in Defence EnvironmentAbility to conduct Change Control Boards and Risk Management MeetingsExperience in requirements management and use of DOORsExperience in developing System Design and detail design documentationExperience in Systems Safety and developing and implementing safe ways of working and WHS plan.Benefits of KBRKBR is committed to supporting the professional development of staff at every stage of their career through in-house training, performance rewards and structured career paths.
