Senior Tax Consultant (Compliance)

people2people is excited to partner with a prominent accounting firm that is expanding its team within the Tax Advisory division. We are seeking a Qualified Accountant to join this dynamic team. This role offers a wide range of flexibility including a Permanent part-time or Full-time position with the opportunity to work 100% remotely after initial training.Key Responsibilities:

• Complete assigned compliance-based accounting work to meet client needs and contribute to effective practice management.
• Review client files and information to prepare the first draft of financial and tax return documentation for management review.
• Review and delegate compliance-based accounting and tax tasks to junior staff, ensuring high levels of ownership and responsibility.
• Manage clients directly concerning information collection, year-end queries, and delivery of financials and returns.
• Work across a variety of entities in different industry sectors.

Who We're Looking For:

• Business/Commerce degree with a major in Accounting
• CA/CPA qualification completed or in progress
• 3-5 years experience in professional services
• Strong tax technical knowledge and accounting skills
• Proficiency with MYOB, Xero, and other common client accounting software packages
• High level of analytical and problem-solving ability
• Outstanding attention to detail and time management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to understand client needs and tailor service accordingly

Position Details

• Permanent part-time or full-time opportunity
• 100% remote work option, following initial training in the Brisbane office
• Two weeks of face-to-face onboarding and training in Brisbane, with potential bi-annual in-office training sessions
