Our client is seeking an experienced Wireless Technician who wants to progress his career into a management role.
We are seeking a Project Engineer with sound telecommunications technical knowledge to join our Sydney, NSW team. In this role, you will provide technical and field support to the Project Manager (Implementation Manager) and NSW Field teams to ensure project completion, build quality and provide design clarifications.Some of the key responsibilities are:
- Provide assistance with Cmart/Drake/PTW/CRQ/WINS/MOPS
- Ability to accurately review and understand construction drawings and designs to effectively complete site build.
- Assist Implementation Manager to co-ordinate all site activities with relevant parties to ensure timely and efficient site completion and client satisfaction.
- Offer advice and knowledge to teams in terms of internal and external installation standards and practices.
- Support IM to ensure appropriate and timely organisation of plant, materials, and human resources.
- Assist to identify, correct, record, and close out defects / NCRs.
- Accurate analysis of engineering designs and design clarifications.
- Coordinate and ensure submission of hand over documentation upon site completion.
- Assist the project team in providing accurate BOM and material orders as per given design.
- Support to IM if required in relation to job 3rd party costs, tools/equipment hire or procurement and advice on variation works.
- Attend any client meetings relating to new or revised build practices and work instructions.
- Assist and support build teams by sharing experience and knowledge to mentor teams and individuals to achieve FTR (First time right) and on-time completion of build.
- Assist IMs with pre-build site surveys and feasibility reports, including assessment of sub-contractor and plant requirements.
- Liaise with client’s and property managers/owners for site access and be able to support and provide required documentations.
- Be able to assess on site situations and ensure work practices are done safely in accordance with the clients and company’s HSE policies.
- Tertiary Qualifications in Telecommunications or Engineering Science, Electronics or Microprocessors.
- Project Management Qualification desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the telecommunications Industry.
- Industry Construction Induction (White Card)
- Radhaz RF EME Awareness.
- Manual Drivers Licence·
- Recent relevant work experience delivering Ericsson and Nokia Projects including but not limited to Telstra, Optus, TPG and NBN fixed Wireless.
- Computer and software installation
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound decision-making and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure individually and as part of a team to meet customer deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient in reading FC drawings
- Ability to interpret or compile a bill of materials
