Our client is a well-established FINTECH company with offices in Australia and overseas. Their mission is to provide a complete cashflow management platform to make paying simple and easy for both their customers and suppliers. A unique role is available due to growth that offers long-term growth and scope.
Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of the company’s strategy and join their late-stage recovery team. Your focus will be to resolve and recover late-stage collections. Determining the right course of action for further recovery, default, or litigation.
Key Requirements:
- Responsible for collections on accounts in 180+ days in arrears and bad debt portfolios
- Identify reasons for customer arrears and negotiate resolutions including payment arrangements or settlements
- Assess accounts for legal action and liaise with lawyers, solicitors, and/or 3rd party agencies
- Weekly/monthly portfolio reporting to management
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with senior management, the sales team, and stakeholders
- Actively make recommendations to the Collections Manager to seek a result
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to debt collection and legal proceedings.
YOU:
- Commercial Legal Recovery or Back-end collections experience (5+ years)
- Fintech and/or Asset Finance industry knowledge
- High integrity and strong judgement ensuring customer’s privacy is always protected
- Superior problem-solving, dispute-resolution, and negotiation skills
- A team player with excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of successfully resolving delinquent accounts through legal means.
- Strong understanding of debt collection laws and regulations
- Strong computer skills. Advance Excel
Be part of a small and high-performing team! This role is Sydney-based and will require the successful candidate to work in their Sydney CBD office 4 days a week/1 day WFH. 6-month contract to begin with a view to permanent.
