Reporting directly to the Delivery Lead for Core Banking, the Senior Technical Project Manager for Core Banking Modernization is a critical hands on, multi-skilled senior leadership role. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the assigned project development streams and squads, as such, is critical in shaping the future of banking for ING Australia and facilitating delivery of complex change under ING Australia’s largest transformation program.
You’ll will manage across the development squads that will be assigned for the development squads covering APIs and Microservices across the Program. Additionally, you’ll liaise with a wide range of global stakeholders to help accelerate strategic outcomes whist ensuring executional certainty and adherence to transformation methodologies and framework.
What you’ll do …
- Support the Delivery Lead with effective delivery of stream scope, within schedule, budget, deliverable quality, assisting with workforce planning, procurement requirements, stakeholder management, and dependency and risks/issues mapping.
- Assist with on boarding vendor partners to support the delivery of Core Banking program.
- Support the delivery arm in implementing and managing IT risk management and controls.
- Manage the end-to-end software development and technical stream covering API’s and Microservices.
- Build and maintain an energized, high-performance culture within the team.
- Facilitate in-flight stream reviews, making recommendations for actions and following up on implementation improvements.
What we’re looking for…
- Experience in Technical delivery of large-scale banking transformation programs.
- Strong experience in API and Microservices development.
- Demonstrated experience with Java/C# and cloud technologies.
- Good understanding of associated key disciplines (i.e., project management, project planning, resource and workforce planning, strategic planning, dependency mapping, action planning, compliance & risk management, data collection and analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate and influence appropriately at all levels of the organization.
