About the role
Our Transport Planning and Advisory team partners with its clients to provide traffic and transport solutions for the community. We currently seek an experienced Senior Transportation Engineer to join our Transport Planning and Advisory team based in Perth. You will be working as part of a dedicated transport team on a range of projects and will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient Transport Engineering services for the business unit in accordance with project times and budgets.
Day to day tasks would involve:
- Provision of high-quality technical assessment and advice to clients both internal and external to the organisation in respect of Transport Engineering, car parking, transport design, road safety, traffic management, active and public transport disciplines.
- Working as part of a Team preparing conceptual, preliminary and final design
- Attending client project meetings.
- Involved in the permit process, which may require meetings with clients, contractors, reviewing agency personnel and governing entities.
- Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- Prepare traffic engineering feasibility studies by analyzing engineering design, conducting traffic impact studies, and assembling data.
To be successful for this role you'll need:
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering.
- 7 years’ experience working within a traffic engineering capacity and familiarity with appropriate software such as SIDRA.
- Experience of working in a consulting environment or for local/ state government in a similar role.
- A good working knowledge of best practice standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation in order to deliver innovative and practical traffic and transport solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to strongly, confidently and succinctly present traffic and transport issues and results of analysis to a wide audience.
