About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Urban Planner within the City’s Development and Design team. Reporting to the Coordinator Planning Services you will:
- Be responsible for the efficient and effective processing of complex statutory applications and appeals within our exciting inner-city locality
- Have a focus on delivering well designed developments and a high-quality customer experience
- Provide guidance, advice and mentorship to junior members of the team
- Be a team player who is highly motivated with excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage a dynamic workload without compromising on quality

What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Relevant qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent.
- Significant statutory planning experience in a local government
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed customer service and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed negotiation, team building, problem solving, decision making, analytical, research and time management skills
