About the role
As the Senior Work Health Safety Business Partner, your role will see you engaging with all levels of the business to help bolster their overall approach to ensure the effective promotion of safety awareness, to drive continuous improvement in safety performance, and to foster a culture of care within the organisation. With a new Execuitve HSW in place, they are embarking on a journey involves reviewing and improving the current safety culture. You will be collaborating and consulting with the wider business to deliver professional advice and expertise, implement WHS systems and processes, and provide coaching and leadership in Work Health and Safety (WHS).
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and collaboration on hazard and incident reporting to address safety concerns.
- Develop schedules for WHS audits, inspections, and observations to mitigate risks.
- Align with the company’s strategic framework to support WHS projects and enhance employee health and safety.
- Continuous improvement on WHS legislation and best practices, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
- Facilitate consultation processes among operational leaders and employees to foster safety solutions and improvements.
- Offer guidance and support to managers regarding WHS responsibilities and safety objectives.
- Advise leaders and employees on HSW matters, legislative requirements, and drive positive change in the workplace.
- Experience driving safety change within the organisation. With a hands-on approach and excellent interpersonal skills, you will possess an influential style, capable of engaging with all aspects of the business, delivering engaging presentations to both the leadership team and employees on-site
- Strong competencies across auditing, managing WHS projects and identifying and effectively managing a varied risk portfolio.
- Hold / Working towards a formal qualification in work health and safety
- Understanding of ISO safety standards, and have a demonstrated understanding of WHS legislative requirements and procedures.
- Communication will be vital in the successful engagement of these leader and will be instrumental to the consultation process require to improve safety outcomes.
