We are seeking an experience HSE Adviser to join our Safety Team, working across two mining projects on a 8/6 roster.

We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites.
The Role
We are currently seeking a highly qualified and motivated SEQ&T Advisor to join our dynamic team. As an SEQ&T Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as implementing best practices across our organization.
This role will be supporting our General Manager SEQ&T, working across both our two iron ore mining projects, on a 8 days on 6 days off roster.
In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and risks, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver HSE training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for preventive measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in HSE regulations, and ensure compliance across all operations.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement by promoting HSE initiatives and campaigns.
- Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety
- Cert IV in Training & Assessing (Highly Desirable)
- Proven experience as an HSE Advisor or similar role, preferably in mining industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio)
- Ability to create relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug & alcohol screen
- Hold a current and valid driver’s licence
- Experience with STEMS, or similar online safety management platform
- Provide First Aid Certification
