If you're the go-to person, with the know-how to keep facilities running like clockwork, we have an opportunity for Service Attendant - Grounds /Handy Person to maintain the site grounds and buildings at South Walker Creek Mine. This a Drive in Drive out Monday to Friday roster working 9.5hrs per day. Ideally, you would be residing in Nebo, Moranbah and/or surrounding areas.
Who are we looking for?
Reporting to the Site Manager, our Grounds/Handy Person are responsible for the upkeep and general basic maintenance of the grounds and buildings/structures on site within Sodexo's scope of work. The duties will include but are not limited to lawn mowing, whipper snipping, weed and pest control, general gardening, floor stripping and sealing, cleaning of car parks and public areas, rubbish collection and disposal, ensuring equipment is maintained and in safe working order, general maintenance as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous grounds and general maintenance experience in a remote site, mine camp, school, or large grounds area
- Able to follow instructions and ensure effective time management in the contractual service deliver
- Previous experience working with power tools, ride on mowers, chemical handling
- Able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Current Open Driver License
