The Position
The Service Delivery Lead Parks and Open Space, reporting to the Principal Open Space Operations, will work collaboratively with the Asset Maintenance team to successfully plan and coordinate efficient and effective delivery of day-to-day maintenance of Council’s recreational and Open Spaces, and medium-term operations through to long term management of all Open Spaces and assets. Work includes but is not limited to:
- Mowing and vegetation maintenance
- Cemetery operations
- Park asset and playground maintenance; and
- Garden presentation
All such works will conform to plans, specifications and/or instructions provided. The Service Delivery Lead Parks and Open Space will lead multi-functional teams and rotate across functions, specifically Parks and Open Space Maintenance, Cemetery Operations and Park Assets.
About You
You will have a Trade / Industry qualification and/or extensive experience in Horticulture, Conservation and Land Management or related and/or relevant experience. You are able to lead multi-disciplinary team, have effective problem solving skills and the ability to read design specifications and prepare cost estimates.
You also have experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite, operate digital business systems and well-developed verbal and written communication.
