Your part in our UnitingCare Community team
We are seeking a Service Leader to work as a part of UnitingCare’s Gambling Help Service. The purpose of this position is to manage the day-to-day operations of three Gambling Help regions and provide professional leadership to employees with emphasis on delivery of high quality, best practice service delivery. To achieve this, you will lead and manage all aspects of the Services to ensure that goals and objectives are met as identified in the Service Agreement and within prescribed timeframes and parameters.
This position is permanent, full time with flexibility for the successful candidate to be based in Cairns, Rockhampton, Bundaberg or Hervey Bay. This position is required to travel from time to time.
What makes a difference for us?We are seeking someone who has substantial experience in working with the Community and demonstrated experience in a service delivery management role within the sector. Supplementing this, you will present with the following:
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve service performance outcomes together with an ability to provide quality supervision and training
- A minimum of two years’ experience working therapeutically with addiction or suitably demonstrate cross-transferable skills
- Demonstrated ability, exceptional skills, knowledge and outcomes attained through previous positions with a combination of experience, expertise and competence sufficient to perform the duties required of this position
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and licensing requirements associated with the service
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent demonstrated industry experience in a relevant field such as Behavioural Science, Psychology, Counselling or Social Work
- Eligibility for registration or membership to ACA, PACFA, AASW or APS.AASW, APS or other recognised body.
- Current QLD Drivers Licence
- Positive Blue Card (Paid)
