Form of workBrighton Jeep & RAM has a rare opportunity for a Service Manager to join our family owned group of Dealerships. Our large 19 hoist Service Centre is located on Keys Road Cheltenham.
About the role
You will be responsible for creating and managing technician schedules and the profit loss of the service department. Also under your responsibility will be taking care of the day-to-day service desk requirements and overseeing senior workshop team, as well as liaising with internal management whilst developing and maintaining Manufacturer relationships.
About you
- Strong leadership abilities and a passion for customer satisfaction and loyalty
- The ability to delegate responsibility, mentor employees to help them continually develop their skills and growth.
- Demonstrated experience to prioritize customer critical appointments with daily volumes and achieve daily operational KPIs.
- Experience supervising small teams, including office-based team members, service technicians and subcontractors.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- A quick thinker who can adapt to changing priorities and guide the team accordingly.
- Understanding and experience of procedural requirements in terms of customer service delivery framework and commitments.
- Highly organised individual with well-developed communication skills with the ability to constructively negotiate and resolve customer grievances or escalate accordingly.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency
- A mechanical background would be an advantage, but not essential
- This role would suit a very organised, proactive and flexible individual, who enjoys working within a team but who thrives autonomously also
