About the Role
Mineral Mining Services are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mining Operations Manager to lead and oversee the day to day running of our Mining Operations. Reporting to the MMS Mining Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering, a proven track record of managing large-scale mining projects, and a commitment to safety and sustainability. This role involves strategic planning, operational oversight, and team leadership to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of our mining sites.
This role is based in our Bibra Lake head office however will require frequent travel to our Goldfields Mining Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of Mining Operations, including production, safety, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise mining processes and enhance productivity.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Manage budgets, cost control, and financial performance of Mining Operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of mining professionals.
- Coordinate with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and execute mining activities.
- Monitor and analyse operational performance, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and present reports on operational status, performance metrics, and project progress to senior management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Mining Operations, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of mining equipment, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, costs, and financial performance.
- Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
- Proficiency in mining software and data analysis tools.
