About the RoleThe Service Manager is responsible for:
- Leadership in the delivery of high quality of life outcomes for people with disability (and their families where appropriate)
- Management coaching and support to a team (or teams) of disability support workers with clients requiring specific high intensity support
- Overall performance of the service meeting targets identified in annual work plans
- Promotion of community inclusion and person directed support that exceeds the minimum disability standards and delivered within available resources
- Operational management of supported accommodation service
- Day-to-day running of the service to meet and exceed clearly identified KPIs,
- Providing high-quality support to customers, their families along with management support for care staff.
This role includes a component of rostered after hours on-call.
About You
- Demonstrated management experience; preferable within a community services environment
- Understanding of legislation and standards applicable to the disability sector
- Knowledge and understanding of how to support staff to implement contemporary and person centred approaches to uphold the rights and support needs of people with disability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial and staff resources in a complex environment
- Excellent initiative and self-directed work practices as well as highly developed organizational skills.
- A relevant disability qualification would be desirable
