SERVICE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Due to the strong growth of Power Electronics Australia, this exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic, efficient, and motivated person to join our well-respected, industry leading company.
This role will be based at our Head Office in Hemmant QLD,
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will repair Power Electronics electrical products and provide technical support to customers and support staff throughout Australia. This is a new position and is a hands-on role as the company goes through a huge growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, fault find, and repair variable speed drives, electric vehicle chargers, and renewable modules – workshop based.
Test and check product to specification and functionality
Phone and site assistance with VSD and Soft Starter fault diagnosis
Visit customers as necessary.
Provide technical support for Customers and Sales staff.
Provide application assistance for customers.
Commissioning assistance as required.
Receipt service stock from suppliers/customers and check complete and in full.
Ensure all repair parts are itemised and entered in the computer system for re-order.
Assist to despatch goods as necessary.
Key Skills and attributes
Essential: Registered Electrician (with current Qld Practising Licence)
Computer skills
Full Car Drivers Licence
Must have full working rights in Australia.
Desirable: AC Drives experience
Five years industrial electrical experience
